Nicasio Salerno Scholarship for Community Service
The Nicasio Salerno Scholarship for Community Service recognizes students who demonstrate a strong desire to help others in need and assist them in achieving their goals, which in turn improves both their personal growth and the well-being of their community. The scholarship honors the legacy of Nicasio Salerno, a former student of the district who returned to serve as a teacher, coach, principal, and ultimately, the Superintendent of the El Monte Union High School District, dedicating his life to giving back to his community.
