LEARN Receives LA84 Foundation Grant to Promote Youth Sports Access in Los Angeles County
LEARN is honored to be named one of the recipients of a grant from the LA84 Foundation as part of its recent $1.8 million funding initiative focused on expanding access to youth sports and physical activity. Rio Hondo Education Consortium (LEARN) is committed to creating equitable opportunities for youth across Los Angeles County.
The LA84 Foundation’s generous support will directly enhance our efforts to deliver inclusive, high-quality sports and wellness programming that helps youth develop critical life skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of physical activity. This funding aligns with LA84’s “Play Equity” movement, aimed at leveling the playing field so that all children, regardless of their zip code or economic background, have the chance to participate in sports.
We are incredibly grateful to the LA84 Foundation for recognizing the importance of access and equity in youth development. This grant will allow us to reach more students with programs that inspire, empower, and transform.
We are proud to be among a group of impactful organizations working to break down barriers to participation and ensure every child has the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive.
