Calendar of Events The GEAR UP program will be participating in Science Olympiad! The event will take place at Cal State LA on Saturday, March 15, 2008! The goal of the LA County Science Olympiad is to promote student interest in science and to improve the quality of K-12 science education throughout the nation. For more information on the event, please visit the Cal State LA website or email Lilia Diaz at lilia@learnla.org. The GEAR UP Program participated in the "I'm Going to College" UCLA fieldtrip! The event took place Sunday, February 17th, 2008. During the trip, students were able to tour the campus, attend a college fair, and watch a women's basketball game (UCLA vs USC)!
